Oh, hi there!

My name's River, and I'm a transgender woman preparing to have "the surgery" in the near future.

In order to begin this journey, I'll need to do some prep work, namely hair removal. Although my insurance provides some coverage for my surgery, they do not provide coverage for hair removal.

Permanent hair removal via electrolysis is an expensive and time-consuming task, and the price can fluctuate wildly depending on how much hair is left to remove. 

The majority, if not all, of the donation funds will be used for electrolysis and pre-surgery doctor's office visits. The remainder of the funds, if any, will be used to cover continuing transition costs and copays for the surgery.

It is incredibly important to my happiness, mental well being, and sense of self to be able to ready for this life-changing and gender-affirming surgery. Anything you can donate at all is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
