RIVER , a well loved family pet who has been sadly injured

I am setting up a GoFundMe page to help out lovely 'River' after she had been badly injured and is now unfortunately needing an operation for her leg to be amputated.

River managed to escape from her family's home last Tuesday and after many sightings of her at first, nobody could get to her in time before she was gone again. River was Worried and spooked so she just kept running .... with one person witnessing that she had been hit by a vehicle but then ran into a hedge. The family soon got the word out for everyone to help find her but unfortunately after many many hours and days of searching in every hedge/fields and roads with help from others, she just Vanished.. Finally the family had great news that River had been found 6days later but she had terrible injuries to her back leg which will now need to be amputated. I would like to ask if anyone could help, no matter how small as this will take a lot of added stress away from Rivers family, especially this time of year.

River had been told from one vets that it may be best to put her down or spend over £5000 in vet bills but still not promised she would make it through... A second opinion at Homer vets Hereford has now given them all great hope . River will now need her leg amputated which is estimated at £700 for the operation with added costs as she has been staying at the vets on antibiotics before they can go ahead with the operation. Apart from her terrible injuries she is still wagging her tail and happy to see her family and they have been reassured river can still have a happy life with just 3 legs .
