Ritchie Willess

I am Olivia Benitez long time friend and co worker of Tina. My dear friend Tina Willess is going through a difficult time that no parent should ever have to go through. Her baby Ritchie left us too soon! He passed away this past weekend unexpectedly. I am starting this GoFund me for her and family (with their permission) so this can be a help to them for any funeral, memorial costs or even if she needs to take off more time than expected. This is where we as a community come together to be there for them. Any little bit will help them as a family get through this difficult time!

We lost Ritchie Willess this weekend as well. I had covered Ritchie in baseball early from his 10U baseball days and throughout his Belton High School football career.

When I would show up at Tiger Football practice on my birthday, Ritchie and I wished other Happy Birthday, as both of our birthdays were on August 12. All four years he played. It was our tradition and I treasured it. He wasn't the biggest kid on the field (baseball, football, or track), but you got 100% heart out of him.

Prayers go out to Ritchie's family (Tina), coaches that coached him in baseball and football, and all of his friends and former teammates.
