Rita & Jeff experienced a fire yesterday that left their home currently unliveable. Thankfully due to the quick response of some amazing Beaver Islanders, their home was not lost. But there was enough damage done that they cannot live there for the time being. The insurance will help them move forward on all the repairs but most of what they own has smoke and water damage. They will need to replace all their clothes and many personal items. As well, they have 2 dogs and a cat with them.
Many were asking what they could do to help, so we set up this GoFundMe as the easiest way. If you prefer to send actual items we can get you a list of what they need. Gift cards will also work to help them replace all their clothing etc. So if you prefer to mail anything send it to:
