First, my daughter, Sarita Gilbert  and I,  Tanya Gilbert want to say thank you to each and every one of you. Without Gods grace and your love and support spiritual, financial, physically Sarita, may not  otherwise survive her current health challenges due to a lapse  medical insurance coverage. 

 Over the past 8 months Sarita has been hospitalized multiple times in a hospital in Illinois. This all started with her spending 9 consecutive weeks in the hospital and  6 weeks were in intensive care, resulting in being put on a ventilator,  renal failure, compartmentalization syndrome, and a  IVC filter implanted to help catch the blood clots below her waist. 

 After Sarita's last hospital stay in Illinois, I was informed they could not do anything else to help, and  they were discharging  her into a nursing home. 
Therefore on July 4, 2020 upon Sarita's discharge from the Illinois hospital, I had my daughter transported here to Los Angeles to see about getting better care or different care.

 Since arriving here in Los Angeles she has spent 7 days in a hospital here in Los Angeles, where they  were able to get her stable enough for outpatient care.

Sarita, currently has blood clots in both her lungs, a mass on her spleen,  fistula due to compartmentalization syndrome  resulting in cellulitis in her legs and a slow healing open wound,  sever urinary tract infection, fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis.

I have been paying cash out of pocket for my daughter's medication $1480. on Tuesday, Lab $66. Wednesday, USC KECK CLINIC Doctors visit $825.(doctors visit only) All payments at time of service.

Now the doc ordered complete blood profile costing me $1388.

Also they ordered X-rays of her chest, both hips/knees/ wrists /elbows/and lower back, dopler study on her legs total cost $4500.(this amount does not include any of the above mentioned fees)

Her medications we need to pick up today is an additional $480.12

 As well as other scheduled appointments for other specialist Pulmonary,   Urologist,  Hematology, and Rheumatologist.

Medi-Cal does not cover these costs.

I don't have this kind of money but she MUST have all of this done out-patient and she doesn't have any insurance here yet.

We already applied but the process will take 45-90 days for her to get insurance here but her health is too fragile that she can't wait for insurance to kick in and the health care providers will not bill me without me paying at least 1/2 or of the amount at upfront .

I'm lost I have maxed out my credit card getting her here and for medical care so far I also have used my savings.

 We're just asking for financial support to carry us until her insurance starts.
 Sarita is 41 years old, she has 2 children,  the grandmother of 3, and my only remaining living child. I  previously lost Sarita's two older sisters. They both succumbed to health challenges.

Your support is greatly appreciated. 

PLEASE HELP ME SAVE  MY DAUGHTER by not losing her due to a flawed health insurance industry.
