Rita Gossett Donations

June 29th Rita was in a side by side accident that caused a sever spinal cord injury to her C3-C4 vertebre, a broken nose, and facial fractures. She was flown into LSU in Shreveport where she underwent  spinal fusion surgery. 

The injury left her as a quadriplegic. 

After she was stable she was sent to TIRR Herman Memorial in Houston for 5 weeks of inpatient rehabiliation where she was able to recover a small amount of movement in her feet, legs, and fingers. 

She still needs extensive physical therapy and time to be independent. Her progression with movements are improving daily. However, she requires 100% care around the clock. 

Insurance does not cover a lot of her needs to recover or to be assisted. State and local funding offer very minimal financial support. 

Her Physical Therapist and family believe her legs have enough strength to stand and move forward on her progression but they do not provide the equipment she needs.

We are asking for your help to purchase an Easystand Standing table.  This table positions her in a way that she can learn to stand and eventually walk again!

Any thing your able to donante would greatly help in caring for her medical needs and put her on a journey to a full recovery!
