Quando Rita ci ha lasciato dopo una lunga lotta contro quella terribile malattia che è il cancro, abbiamo capito che il modo migliore per onorarla era impegnarci ad alleviare le sofferenze che la malattia causa non solo ai pazienti ma anche alle loro famiglie.

La nostra esperienza all’hospice dell’ospedale San Martino di Genova è stata straordinaria: il team medico e i volontari ci hanno dato un supporto fondamentale nell'affrontare un momento così difficile, come la perdita di una madre o di una moglie. Per questo motivo, abbiamo deciso di organizzare una raccolta fondi a favore dell'Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro (AIRC), dell’ospedale San Martino e dell’associazione Braccialetti Bianchi di Genova.

When Rita left us after a long battle against the terrible disease that is cancer, we understood that the best way to honor her was to commit ourselves to alleviating the suffering that the disease causes not only to patients but also to their families.

Our experience at the hospice of the San Martino Hospital in Genoa was extraordinary: the medical team and volunteers provided us with essential support in facing such a difficult moment, like the loss of a mother or a wife. For this reason, we decided to organize a fundraising campaign in favor of the Italian Association for Cancer Research (AIRC), the San Martino Hospital, and the Braccialetti Bianchi Association of Genoa.
