Rising from Rubble: Gaza Family Rebuilding Fund

Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate souls,

I am reaching out to you today with a humble heart and a story that speaks of resilience, strength, and the unbreakable spirit of our family in Gaza. Our lives have been deeply impacted by genocide and mass slaughter of civilians in Gaza since Oct. 7th, and we are now embarking on a journey to rebuild what was lost.

Our Story:
Our story is like the story of most Palestinians, especially in Gaza. My wife's parents were made refugees in the Nakba of 1948. Her oldest brother was martyred in 2002 in Bethlehem, Church of Nativity. They have also been through every war in Gaza.

Since October 7th and Israel's genocidal aggression has seen the death of 60+ members of my wife's family including her brother, her uncle and dozens of cousins and their families. After their house and their neighbors were initially bombed, murdering her brother as he tried to help the neighbor pull out wounded, they fled to Hamad towers in Khan Younis. After the 7-day truce, this massive series of residential apartment towers was bombed, they fled to Rafah. They are still under threat and have had their windows blown out from bombing near them and are denied the basic necessities to live, like diabetic medicine for her father, running water, etc.
On the 10th of December, 40 members of her cousin's family were murdered in a bombing of their house in Zawada, the Middle Area of the Gaza strip.
Her uncle and most of his children and grandchildren and women were murdered when they were bombed on the 14th of December after fleeing to Rafah from their home in Sheikh Radwan. As of Dec. 19, 60+ members of my wife's family have been murdered.

In the face of adversity, our family has held onto hope, and we are determined to rebuild not just our homes but our lives. Despite the challenges, we believe in the power of community and the kindness that resides in the hearts of people like you.

The Rebuilding Plan:
Our primary plan is to go to Gaza as soon as possible and help with the rebuilding process. A lot is unclear right now, but our primary focus is to address immediate needs including shelter, sanitation, etc. Our long-term goal is to rebuild the houses lost. The costs to rebuild will be determined on supplies entering. Our hope is that $100,000 will be able to put a roof over their head. The amount of destruction to all aspects is tremendous, and funds will have to be raised for rebuilding schools, hospitals, infrastructure, mosques, but our focus is a roof over their head and supplies for existence.

Your support will play a crucial role in helping us rise from the rubble. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to rebuilding a future filled with hope and opportunity.

Why We Need Your Help:
This fundraiser isn't just about rebuilding a home or a whole society. We want to encourage hope and solidarity. That the machines of war are slow to stop, but the people are united to support Palestine rebuild.
