Rising from ashes: support Gaza Alshurafa family

I am Dr Mohammed Alshurafa, organising this campaign to raise funds for my family who has been suffering heavily in Gaza, starting with my brother Ahmed’s house which was brutally bombed without warning, leaving them with nothing but clothes on their backs. Ahmed’s wife Hala and their young children Teya (3 years old) and Adam (5 months old) had to flee to my parent's house. My mom, Abeer (52) who is unwell received a last-minute call to evacuate, leaving my youngest brother Amro to guide her and my visually impaired father Bahjat (63) out whilst shouting to warn the neighbours to evacuate. They ran for their lives as their home was bombed live on TV, losing everything they had including their business shop underneath their house.

Now, my sister Shymaa and her three children Bara (8), Seba (6), and Ghena (1) have also been forced to evacuate their home, seeking shelter with brother Mahmoud and his daughter Laila (10 months old), the last remaining refuge for my family. My family has no homes, belongings, or sense of security.

Funds collected through this campaign will be transparently used to buy new clothes, and furniture and rebuild the houses.
