Hello, my name is Nadine and I am fundraising for our dear friend Liela who is currently in Gaza, living in a refugee camp with her family. They have been displaced more than 7 times ever since the war started. The danger they are in keeps getting worse and they need to desperately leave to also seek medical attention for her mother. Also, her brother with his 3 kids are in desperate need to leave through Rafah Border as the kids are constantly living in fear. Unfortunately, they do not have the money to leave through the border and they need your help.
Here is her story:
My name is Liela, and I find myself reaching out to you from the heart of Gaza City, a place that was once filled with the echoes of laughter and the warmth of family. Today, however, it is a city torn apart by the devastating realities of war. I am desperate, and I am scared, but I believe in the power of compassion and the strength of a community that cares.
In the blink of an eye, everything I held dear was ripped away from me. The walls of my family home, once a fortress of love and security, crumbled under the weight of conflict. My father and I, stripped of our livelihoods, were left with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Forced to evacuate repeatedly in search of safety, we found ourselves chasing life itself, leaving behind the fragments of a life we once knew.
My dear mother, a pillar of strength, now bears the physical scars of our desperate journey. Multiple leg injuries sustained during our forced displacements have gone untreated, exacerbated by the lack of access to adequate healthcare. Each passing day sees her condition worsen, and I am haunted by the knowledge that I am unable to provide the care she so desperately needs.
I am reaching out to you through this GoFundMe with a plea for help, a plea for a chance at a new beginning. Your support will not only save our lives but also empower us to continue striving, to rebuild what has been shattered.
Your kindness, no matter the amount, will make a world of difference. You are not just supporting individuals in need; you are becoming a beacon of hope, a lifeline in our darkest hour. Thank you for considering our plea and for being a source of strength in our journey towards a safer, brighter tomorrow.
With sincere gratitude,
Liela
