Hiii, I’m Annie — I live in Santa Monica, and I’m a 30 yr old new mom to the sweetest, strongest little 4 month old boy named Riser. Riser was recently diagnosed with a tethered spinal cord — a serious condition that can cause long-term nerve damage and mobility issues if left untreated. After meeting with neurologist and undergoing tests, it’s clear that Riser will need surgery soon to give him the best chance at a healthy, pain-free life.

This has all been incredibly overwhelming news as you can imagine, while also dealing with his dad's addiction during this heavy time.

My Tiktok has always been an outlet for me creatively, and emotionally. Finding community and connection is something I have strived for since the start. After sharing a bit about what’s been going on over on TikTok, I was completely blown away by the outpouring of love and support. So many of you messaged me saying, “Start a GoFundMe, we want to help.” It gave me full body chills to read all the prayers you sent, and I cried MORE!!! I’m honestly not great at asking for help — it’s something I’ve always struggled with — but I’m learning that letting people in and accepting support is a form of strength too. It really does take a village and being away from family during this time has been so tough, but we are certainly NOT alone, thanks to every one of you guys!

So here I am, doing something that feels really vulnerable but also really hopeful. Every single dollar raised here will go directly toward Riser’s surgery, recovery, and helping us get through this time. If you’re not in a place to donate, just sharing this or sending love means the world to us.
