Rise Up - Matt Ireland

For more than 25 years we have known Matt Ireland – for many as a classmate at Cardigan, Loomis Chaffee or Middlebury College. For others he has been a neighbor here in the Upper Valley, for a few Matt was a student or a teammate, or simply a friend with whom we skied or traveled or a pal with whom we simply hung out.  Most of Matt’s family live in Vermont.  Part of the glue that holds all of us together is our love for Matt, his infectious good spirit and the support he always shows for his family and friends. Well now, once again unfortunately, he (and his family) need our help. Matt, as some of you know, recently suffered a series of severe strokes; he is struggling to speak and has significant deficits on his left side. Now out of the hospital, the rehab is going to be long and difficult; Matt will not be working in the foreseeable future. We all know Matt is a fighter; he has overcome huge challenges before, but he – and his wonderful wife Gess and their two boys, Logan and Oliver -- need our help. Whatever resources we can raise will make it possible for them to weather this storm and bridge them through this tough time as well as help with what will certainly be significant and ongoing medical bills.  Please dig deep for Matt, Gess, and the boys. Our goal is $60,000.
