Support the RISE UP Against Domestic Violence March & Cultural Movement
We are Danielle Stovall and Brihana Brisker, co-collaborators of the RISE UP Against Domestic Violence March and the RISE UP Cultural Movement—a grassroots, survivor-led initiative rooted in community care, advocacy, and collective action.
In October 2025, we organized and led the inaugural RISE UP Against Domestic Violence March in Seattle, bringing together survivors, advocates, artists, organizations, and allies to demand accountability, expanded resources, and meaningful change. The march was not the end of our work—it was the beginning.
RISE UP continues.
Why We’re Raising Funds
RISE UP is an ongoing grassroots effort, not a single event. As we move forward, we are continuing to:
Compile and share survivor-centered resources
Plan future community gatherings, including a resource fair
Support additional advocacy actions and future marches
Cover ongoing operational and organizing costs
These efforts require sustained time, labor, and financial support. As a small, community-led movement, the costs of organizing, coordination, materials, outreach, and basic infrastructure are ongoing.
Donations support:
Community events, resources, and advocacy initiatives
Outreach materials, printing, supplies, and safety needs
Administrative and organizing costs that keep the movement accessible and responsive
Continued capacity for us to show up consistently for the community
Why Your Support Matters
Grassroots movements are built by people—not institutions—and they rely on collective care. Your contribution helps ensure that RISE UP can continue to exist, grow, and respond to the real needs of our community.
Your support directly contributes to:
Survivor-centered advocacy and visibility
Expanded access to resources and community connection
Continued organizing rooted in integrity, accountability, and care
A cultural shift that prioritizes healing alongside systemic change
Every contribution matters. Every share extends our reach. Every act of support strengthens the foundation we are building together.
