‍♂️ Running Miles for an amazing future for our students at Fitzjohn's Primary School

Hey family and friends:

Karm from Year 5 and I (his mum) have decided to lace up our sneakers, dust off our running gear, and attempt something truly ambitious — running a marathon!

Why running? Because we both want to raise funds for our school. As a single form entry school in an affluent area we get less than one tenth of the funding of some other schools, making our community support all the more critical.

Furthermore, we are proud to have an incredible and welcoming policy of inclusivity for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and whilst we do get funding for this, but simply it does not cover the costs.

Here's the deal: Karm will run the TCS London Mini Marathon a distance of 1.6 miles on Saturday 26th April and I will run the London Marathon 26.2 miles on 27th April and we have 6 weeks to go.

Your contributions will go towards music and gym classes (and equipment), playground equipment, library books, technology, coaches for school trips and much, much more ensuring our children have every opportunity to learn and grow.

Every pound you donate not only supports education but motivates us to keep moving and training when Netflix is calling my name louder than my alarm clock.

So, sponsor my miles! Think of it as a bet on whether I can actually finish this thing — or at least make it to the halfway point before calling for a ride - only joking :) I may crawl, walk, jog no matter what will think of the school and move towards the finish line.
