Hi, I’m trying to crowdfund to start my own business: Phoenix Motor Repairs - a home-based workshop where I can repair small motors such as quad bikes, strimmers, and other petrol-powered engines.

A Little About Me - and Why I’m Asking for Your Help

At 21 years old, I came home from a night shift, got into bed… and didn’t wake up for five days. After emergency surgery and extensive testing, doctors diagnosed me with sepsis - though to this day, the cause remains a mystery.

Fast forward to age 25 - I was working at a large fast-fit centre when I suddenly had a heart attack and was rushed to A&E. More surgery followed, and I had a stent fitted.

With the support of my amazing family, I pushed forward. They kept a roof over my head, food on the table, and love in my life - I’ll never be able to repay everything they’ve done for me.

And then, at 31, during a regular Thursday night six-a-side football match - something I’d played weekly for months - just ten minutes in, I collapsed on the pitch.

I had died.

If it wasn’t for my mates reacting as quickly as they did, the courageous and unbelievably brave staff at the football centre, and their knowledge of CPR and how to use a defibrillator, I wouldn’t be here today. I was rushed to hospital for a five-week stay that included tests, a quadruple heart bypass, and a skin graft from my left leg. All I wanted was to go home and see the people I love - but before that could happen, doctors insisted on fitting me with an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator), which I now carry with me every day.

Even after all that, I live with severe nerve damage in my left leg - from the bottom of my foot to the top of my thigh - causing daily, unimaginable pain, with no known cure.

Why This Means Everything to Me ❤️

After so many physical and emotional setbacks, I knew I needed something positive to focus on - something to keep my mind sharp, my hands busy, and my spirit alive. That something is Phoenix Motor Repairs.

Fixing engines has always been a passion of mine. I’ve built up strong knowledge and hands-on experience with small motors over the years, and now feels like the right time to start something of my own - something meaningful.

It may not look like much when written like this, but behind these words is a family who’s been through more than most - and who deserve to see me rise from the ashes and do something I truly love.

What I Need ️

To get Phoenix Motor Repairs up and running from home, I’m asking for your support to help fund:

Somewhere for me to carry out the repairs (a small workshop or shed) - £1,000
