A devastating fire destroyed the Iron Age roundhouse. Help us tell Flag Fen's story through new roundhouses and keep Flag Fen secure.

On the night of 13 July, flames lit up the sky above Flag Fen Archaeology Park. Vandals set fire to our beloved Iron Age roundhouse, and in minutes, it was gone. The thatched roof, the oak frame, the daub walls — all reduced to ash. Only charred fragments remain.

This wasn’t just a building. It was a living classroom, a time machine, a place where 10,000 children each year stepped into the world of our ancestors. Built in 2022 with love, care, and community support, it stood as a powerful symbol of our shared heritage.
