Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging Event

Hi! Our names are Rob and Kevin Bechtold and Keith Gornish. We are supporting a meal packaging event led by Lynne Corle and Sue Bechtold at Newtown Square Presbyterian Church for a non-profit organization called Rise Against Hunger (https://www.riseagainsthunger.org) and we need your help.

Rise Against Hunger is an organization whose mission is to end hunger in our lifetime by providing food (and other life-changing aid) to the world’s most vulnerable. At our two hour meal packaging event on March 10, 2024, our friends and church members will form an assembly line at which we package highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, and 23 essential vitamins and minerals.

The group hosting the event must raise the funds to purchase the meal ingredients. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $2,500. With this amount, added to previous donations, we will be able to package over 20,000 meals to send to those in need around the world. If we are fortunate enough to exceed this goal, the additional funds will be used to allow us to package even more meals. To date, Newtown Square Presbyterian Church has packaged a total of over 120,000 meals at 5 previous meal packaging events. We will be soliciting volunteers at a future date.
