Help Mamta get back on her feet
Donation protected
We are all hearing about our friends and families' loss in India because of COVID, but recently we unexpectedly heard about demise of our friend from high school, Rakesh Dagar in Canada.
Rakesh passed away on April 24th leaving behind his wife Mamta and 16 year old son Sidhant. Rakesh was living a healthy life and had no medical condition. He passed away from cardiac arrest while having lunch with his family. As we can imagine, for Mamta, it is just difficult to come to terms that it was her last meal with Rakesh :-(
But Mamta is a strong woman and is determined to raise her son just like her and Rakesh had planned to but can definitely use our help while she is getting herself together and coming out of this devastating shock. Unfortunately, she also lost her dad on May 7th and has her sisters families struggling with COVID in India. On one hand she is trying to console herself and being strong for her son, and on the other hand, she is also being a pillar of support for her mom back in India.
We are requesting our friends to help her get on her feet while she is trying to figure out how will she manage all this by herself in Canada without her husband being around. She is confident that in the few months she will be able to bring her and Sidhant's life to a place where Rakesh, wherever he is watching them from, will be proud of her but right now she is stressed out about how she is going to maintain loan for her dream house Rakesh and her bought a couple of years ago. Right now she is worried about finding a job and bringing financial stability for herself and her son while dealing with this emotional event. None of us can take away the pain she is going through, but we can at least help her stop worrying about financial challenges. Doesn't matter if it is Rs 500 or $5, every donation here will give her the morale support she needs right now.
Please do write a note of encouragement for her even if you aren't able to support the fundraiser. We, Rakesh's friends from Sachdeva Public School, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Mamta and Sidhant.
