Our father had a major brain aneurysm last Saturday and was in the ICU. He did not make it and passed just six hours after the initial phone call at age 59. One week before our family of four reuniting in the States; a month before my wedding; and six months before his 60th birthday. We are still in shock and beyond devastated.
It is customary in Chinese culture to give grievance money to the family of the deceased in a “white envelope” (白包) and in odd numbers. Many of you have been asking us how to help with emergency room, ICU, travel, and funeral costs. From all the facebook inquires and request we received regarding how to send us “white envelopes,” we decided to create a gofundme account as a centralized location for your kindness and generosity.
It isn’t a requirement, and we don’t expect everyone to give, but any odd number amount would greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping us honor my father, Jason Jang, a great business man - kind, honest, integral, skilled, and well-respected by all who interacts with him.
Thank you
謝謝
