R.I.P. Russ

As most of you have heard, our dear friend, Russell Awni, passed away over Easter weekend. Russ was a father, grandfather, and beloved member of the beach volleyball community. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
To the beach volleyball community, Russ was known as a smart, witty, funny, and caring person who loved to make others laugh. He would never say no to a game, no matter who it was with, and he always supported others through his love of volleyball. I really don't have the words right now, but the impact he had is apparent by the outpouring of wonderful and kind thoughts by others.
He leaves behind an amazing daughter, Amber, a grandson, and his fur baby, Shanks.
Large or small, Russ made a positive impact on all who knew him. Please show your support for one of our own, to see that he is honored in the best way possible. The money raised is going to his daughter, Amber, to help with his cremation (~$2,000), and anything else she needs during this difficult time.
