R.I.P Jeremiah & Joshua Kent
On May 24, 2020 around 5a.m. Jimnesha (Nookie) Kent and her two sons, 9 year old Jeremiah Kent and 7 year old Joshua Kent were involved in a tragic accident while traveling home from a graduation celebration in San Antonio, Texas. While traveling back to their home in Shaw, MS, an 18-wheeler rear ended the SUV they were traveling in and the SUV then caught fire during the course of the accident. As a result, Jeremiah and Joshua died. The mother, Jimnesha also sustained significant injuries as a result of the accident.
Jeremiah and Joshua were well-behaved, fun-loving boys who could not be separated in life nor death. The bond they had was undeniable and heartwarming. Not only were they closely connected to one another, it was also apparent the unconditional love shown from their parents. Jeremiah Kent Sr. and Jimnesha Kent were intentional in their efforts to provide a safe, healthy, and happy home for their boys. Jeremiah and Joshua were both students at McEvans Elementary School in Shaw, MS. where staff and students have also expressed heartfelt sympathy for such a significant loss.
This is an unfortunate tragedy, and the family greatly appreciate the love that has been shown thus far. In response to multiple inquires about how to help support the family financially, we have created this (one and only) electronic/online account as an avenue to provide your support.
