Helping Clarendon Wine Co. Pick up the Pieces.

For over 50 years Clarendon Wine has been a landmark in Boston.  We've loved serving the community as a small family owned business, but when Covid hit we were forced to close our doors to figure out our future.  Our business relies heavily on local business, tourism, and events in the area. As a result the pandemic struck our store very hard. Times are tough due to Boston's ever skyrocketing rent prices, with no relief in sight.  However, on Sunday things took another turn for the worse when opportunists used the BLM protests as a cover to loot and destroy the store.

While re-opening looks like wishful thinking, we are hoping to cover the costs of clean-up, as well as fundraise enough to get my father and uncle back on their feet. This fund will help with the mounting financial strain all of this has caused.

Clarendon Wine was started by my Great Grandfather in 1949. I am proud to say I am the fourth generation to work within the walls of this store.

A packie is a tough business to work in. It is an experience like no other. You meet all types of people and you are wiser and stronger for it. We have seen highs and lows. We have been here for parades and celebrations. We have also been here for the Marathon bombings and now the lootings.  It has been a wild ride.

The clean up efforts are a lot and the uncertainty of wether or not we will receive any coverage from insurance is huge.

This Go-Fund Me was created because my family needs help. I am just a daughter, a niece, who wants to help my family. The Levine family is usually known for being the silent type. So I am here to show vulnerability and ask for help.
Things and property can be fixed and replaced. We only get one life, it should not be so easily taken.

**I would like to say that our family is sadden by the turn of events that took place. We fully support the Black Lives Matter movement and the protests that are taking place. We know in the bottom of our hearts that this damage was done by opportunistic people who are taking advantage of positive things for personal gain.**

Thank you very much. We appreciate the well wishes we have received and for those who have asked how they can contribute.
