Rio woke up one morning in august in excruciating pain and unable to use his back legs, he was diagnosed with stage 5 IVDD, he required emergency surgery due to the severity two discs was crushing the spinal cord the pressure was needing to be relieved. He has had hours of physio, acupuncture & laser but unfortunately the surgery was unsuccessful & the damage which was caused to the spinal cord so rio will never get use back in his hind legs, also never regain control of his bowels & bladder
It hasn’t been an easy ride since his surgery, he has been in and out of the vets due to different reasons, he has crystals in his bladder, numerous of UTI’s, infection in his testicles so required surgery to remove & now we have discovered an ulcer on his eye which requires course of treatment and hoping it will heal it’s self only time will tell
The emergency surgery was £5,000 alone all the other appointments/ surgeries have totalled up to around £1500 and still on going, unfortunately we are maxed out on every aspect of credit resources, will do anything for Rio he is the happiest little boy and just if anyone would like to donate to contribute towards his ongoing treatments & illnesses we would appreciate it so much!❤️
