Somos Aerin, Chris, Vinik y Yeyo, cuatro compañeros que hemos comenzado a trabajar para regenerar el suelo y el agua en un terreno muy especial en el estado de Oaxaca, al sur de México. Para lograrlo, y poder crear un espacio demostrativo basado en los principios de la lentitud, la solidaridad y la agricultura sintrópica, necesitamos de su apoyo para financiar la última etapa de adquisición del terreno con $475,000 MXN ($25,000 UDS, $,34,000 CAD). Con gran esfuerzo, juntando nuestros recursos y el apoyo de algunos asociados hemos ya cubierto 2 terceras partes del valor total del terreno.

Ahora, hacemos un llamado a ustedes para completar la misión y seguir cuidando de esta tierra, regenerando sus fuentes subterráneas de agua y construyendo un ejemplo vivo de cómo hacer de la vida en el campo una forma efectiva y digna para construir el Buen Vivir de personas, familias y comunidades. La granja sintrópica Río Copalita busca generar espacios de aprendizaje y de des-aprendizaje para desmontar la urbanización limitante en la que cada vez más personas se encuentran atrapadas. También será un espacio demostrativo de técnicas de construcción innovadoras y de agricultura natural que generan hábitats dignos y una gran variedad de alimentos, materiales y herramientas que generan una economía digna y revigorizan la sabiduría campesina. Con estos procesos se regeneran los entornos campesinos tan devastados por la agricultura intensiva basada en el monocultivo y el abuso de agroquímicos que dañan a la Madre Tierra, a la salud humana y que empobreció la alimentación y la economía de las personas que dependen de ella.

El espacio está ubicado al pie del cerro de María Sánchez, un ícono del Valle de Ocotlán en los Valles Centrales del estado de Oaxaca, México. Aquí puedes ver algunas imágenes del terreno y sentir su magia y energía.

Río Copalita is calling us! Let’s support this land with experiments in ecological regeneration!!

Aerin, Chris, Vinik and Yeyo are four friends who have begun working to regenerate soil and water on a very special piece of land in the state of Oaxaca in Southern Mexico. In order to fulfill our dreams and create a demonstration space based on the principles of slowness, solidarity and syntropic agriculture, we need your support to finance the last stage of land acquisition with $475,000 MXN ($25,000 UDS, $,34,000 CAD). By pooling our resources and with the support of some associates, we have already paid off 2/3 of the total cost of the land.

Now, we're calling on you to help us complete this mission and continue caring for this land, regenerating the underground aquifers, reducing erosion and runoff, and building a living example of how rural life can be a regenerative and dignified way to co-create el buen vivir for individuals, families and communities. The syntropic farm at Rio Copalita seeks to offer spaces of learning and unlearning to dismantle our limiting urban ways of living (which hold us back from living well in the end). Rio Copalita will also be a demonstration space for innovative eco-construction techniques and natural agriculture. We plan to build earth-based habitats and produce a wide variety of food, materials and tools to contribute to the local solidarity economy and reinvigorate the ancient wisdom of those who have lived closest to the land. These processes regenerate rural environments devastated by intensive commercial agriculture which rely heavily on monoculture and the abuse of agrochemicals that harm the soil, other life forms, human health and impoverish the food and economy of the people who depend on the land.

The space is located at the foot of María Sánchez, a mystical mountain and icon of the Ocotlán Valley in the Central Valleys of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. Here you can see some images of the land and feel its magic and energy.
