About 2 month ago, Bertha "Bertita" Solano Herrera and her family received the worst news they could have imagined. One day, Bertita started to feel sick and early on realized that something was not right with her health. Unbeknownst to her and her family, she was born with underdeveloped kidneys and after many doctor visits, she was diagnosed with kidney failure.
Bertita is only 24 years of age and recently married the love of her life. She is the daughter of Bertha Herrera Ramirez & Miguel Angel Solano and currently live in Michoacan, Mexico. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Bertita and her family have gone through sadness and grief. At the end of 2008, Bertita's little brother lost his battle to Leukemia and not even 2 years later, lost her older brother to her same condition, kidney failure. A happy family of 5 had become a heartbroken family of 3.
When your kidneys fail, it means they have stopped working well enough for you to survive without dialysis or a kidney transplant. Therefore, Bertita is in need to start dialysis ASAP and will eventually (sooner rather than later) need a kidney transplant. Her husband is currently working on getting tested to see if he's compatible but of course, all of this is very costly. As such, I am asking for donations to help ease the family's burden. ANYTHING will help and will be greatly appreciated! I also ask if you can please share this story with your friends and family as all donations add up and will make a difference.

Hace aproximadamente 2 meses, Bertha "Bertita" Solano Herrera y su familia recibieron la peor noticia que pudieron haber imaginado. No hace mucho, Bertita comenzó a sentirse mal y pronto se dio cuenta de que algo no estaba bien con su salud. Sin que ella y su familia lo supieran, Bertita nació con riñones subdesarrollados y, después de muchas visitas al médico, le diagnosticaron insuficiencia renal.
Bertita tiene solo 24 años y recientemente se casó con el amor de su vida. Es hija de Bertha Herrera Ramírez y Miguel Ángel Solano y viven en Michoacán, México. Desafortunadamente, esta no es la primera vez que Bertita y su familia pasan por la tristeza y el dolor. A finales de 2008, el hermano pequeño de Bertita perdió su batalla contra la leucemia y ni siquiera 2 años después, perdió a su hermano mayor por su misma condición, insuficiencia renal. Una familia feliz de 5 se había convertido en una familia de 3 con el corazón roto.
Cuando sus riñones fallan, significa que han dejado de funcionar lo suficientemente bien como para que pueda sobrevivir sin diálisis o un trasplante de riñón. Por lo tanto, Bertita necesita comenzar la diálisis lo mas antes posible y eventualmente (más pronto que tarde) necesitará un trasplante de riñón. Actualmente, su esposo está trabajando para hacerse la prueba para ver si es compatible, pero por supuesto, todo esto es muy costoso. Como tal, solicito donaciones para ayudar a aliviar la carga de la familia. ¡CUALQUIER COSA ayudará y será muy apreciada!
