I honestly never thought in a million years I would have to use GoFundMe. This is very embarrassing to me because I am a private person but I need your help. Four years ago, I started experiencing pain in my hip. I didn't know if it was due to a past sports injury catching up to me or years of working at my manufacturing job. I went to get checked out and was told I had severe arthritis in my left hip. I would soon start taking medication and getting cortisone shots every three months in my hip. I was told since it wasn't bone to bone and I was still young that surgery wasn't necessary.
Fast forward, after eleven years on my job and the pain increasing every day I was faced with a difficult decision. Not to mention I was diagnosed with Graves Disease almost three years ago. With the hip problem and Graves Disease I couldn't take it anymore and had to quit my job. With the Graves Disease I lost 40 pounds in two weeks and was too weak to work. I was given medication and had to take twelve pills a day to control the disease. I took three months off before looking for other employment to get adjusted to all the medications I was taking and to give my hip some rest. In all I was now taking 15 pills a day.
At the end of my three month break I had to find work again. I was forced to take a job that was making a lot less than the previous job but I needed work.
On April 8, 2020, my doctor called me after reviewing my latest X-Rays and informed me that looking at my X-Rays that he thought I was a 70 year old man. They told me surgery is necessary now and I wasn't allowed to get the shots anymore because there is no joint space to even put the needle. Due to the Coronavirus all of my previous appointments had been cancelled and I haven't had shots since December of last year. The pain was increasing day by day.
I have been getting by with a lot of prayer, pain pills and a variety of arthritis pain creams that I had to rub on my hip twice a day. I was overdue for the shots and now that I can't receive them any more the surgery has to be done. The recovery time from the surgery is three months. I am seeking your support to assist in the finances for the surgery and the three months of lost income due to the surgery.
FMLA will secure my job during the three months I will be off work but I will not receive any income.
" I would love to be able to have the ability to be active with my family again. I am praying this surgery is the key to a better quality of life for me and my family". The surgery should took place before the end of the month. I am awaiting to hear back from my doctor for my exact date. I will definitely keep everyone updated with the process.
I would greatly appreciate any financial assistance you could help me with. If you prefer to use CASH APP please send to $Skeets06. Any amount would greatly be appreciated. God Bless!
