4 years ago when Réiltín was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia APT were there from the start

The provided extremely practical support to us.

The cost of having a child in hospital long term is astronomical. Parents are unable to work but the mortgage still needs paying; there is additional costs of childcare for the other children, car parking, coffee, food, suitable clothing for hospital.

They provided an ear to talk to as those involved have previously walked the walk themselves.

We will forever be indebted to them.

Thankfully 4 years on we are in a super place

One of the hardest days was when Réiltín's hair started falling out. I could not cope seeing all her hair on my clothes and around the house I made the difficult decision to cut it off To celebrate how far we have come Réiltín will be cutting her hair and donating it to help young girls who have lost their hair to cancer
