Riley's Top Surgery Fundraiser

I'm Riley! I'm trans person from Newcastle, and I've created this campaign with the hope of raising funds for my gender-affirming surgery, specifically top surgery.

I came out as trans a decade ago and recently began the challenging journey of private medical transition. Navigating healthcare in the UK, especially for trans individuals, is notoriously difficult, with NHS wait times often expected between 5-10 years for a first consultation and wait times between 1-2 years between each one.

Your support is crucial in helping me raise the necessary funds to initiate this life-changing surgery. While private practices offer a pathway with financing, I must secure a deposit to kickstart the process. Unfortunately, saving up for this has been a financial challenge, and NHS waiting times remain discouragingly long.

I've spent over 10 years feeling profoundly uncomfortable in my own skin including enduring daily pain from binding my chest. Gender-affirming surgery is essential for me to live the rest of my life pain-free and content. Any contribution, regardless of the amount, brings me closer to achieving this goal.
