Riley's Adaptive Trike
Riley has spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy and in December 2016 she had two rods put in her spine to straighten her spine out. Riley used a trike for 6 years of her younger years and it was her only way to get her heart rate up and strengthen her core and legs besides when I take her in the pool. Riley received a generous partial grant from Challenged Athletes foundation and we need the rest of the funds to purchase a Freedom Concepts AS2011 ASR Odyssey Recumbent Adaptive Trike. With this adult trike and all of the support systems in place it will last her 10 to 20 years depending on wear and tear and allow her to get stronger, and possibly use her walker more as she gets older. This trike is vital in her healing process as well as growth into adulthood to strengthen her body, keep her fit, and keep her weight at a healthy level for years to come. Any amount helps her get toward this goal and anyone who knows Riley can see that she loves riding her trike and loves exercising and will benefit immensely by having this trike as her own.
