Riley's MRI Scan
Donation protected

This is my puppy Riley - she is an 8 month-old beagle and my therapy dog/best friend. I love her more than life itself and we do everything together.
She was recently diagnosed with meningitis from a spinal tap, after suffering from awful cluster seizures out of the blue in the middle of April. She was sent home after 3 nights at the vets on a mountain of medication including steroids & epilepsy medication, which she was to take until the end of summer. The seizures resulted in Riley losing her sight for a while and she was too scared to be touched by her favorite people.
After a tough month, Riley was finally getting back to being her happy & mischievous self, until the seizures started again. 8 seizures later Riley is now back in the emergency vets with possible brain damage. Since being at the vets, Riley's seizures have not gotten under control and are still ongoing. To test for brain damage and get to the bottom of what her condition is Riley needs an MRI scan. Unfortunately, MRI scans are extremely expensive, with Riley's vet quoting £1,500. Riley has spent a considerable amount of time undergoing treatment and her insurance limit has more than maxed out. Riley is provisionally booked in for her brain scan on 24th June provided I can gather the money, which is where this fundraiser comes in.
An MRI scan would mean we are a step closer to controlling Riley's seizures and getting her on the road to recovery. Both me and Riley would appreciate anyone who can help towards getting her the tests and treatment that she needs to come back home.
I cannot imagine life without Riley & there is nothing more that I want than to have her home and happy again. We would be so grateful for any help we could get.
