Riley Webb FHS Scholarship for the Arts

Donation protected
Donna and Kevan Webb, Jess Hughes, and their friends established this scholarship in memory of Riley. The Riley Webb FHS Scholarship for the Arts will provide college tuition assistance for a Fredericksburg High School senior who demonstrates financial need, academic excellence and committed involvement  in one or more areas of the performing arts.

Riley grew up singing in the Fredericksburg Children's Chorale and acting in Fredericksburg Theater Company productions. He loved being a member of the high school marching band and jazz band, was active in the FHS theater program, and was lead guitarist in a local band formed with his musician friends called the "International League of Super Pals."

Our goal is to raise $8500 so that we can establish the scholarship fund at the Hill Country Community Foundation, 501 (c)(3), that serves as an umbrella organization for local scholarships and endowment funds.

We want Riley's zest for life and love of the arts to continue to live through the life of future students who receive his scholarship.

Riley will be terribly missed by every single person who ever crossed his path. His singular spirit, effervescent smile, openness to all, and love of life make his passing tragic. In life, Riley was special; in death, Riley asks us all to carry on his work of meeting people where they are, with kindness, love and understanding, every single day. Those of us who survive him are so grateful for such a consummate gift.
