One Love, One Heart - a fundraiser for Baby Riley
Friends & family, Michelle and Sean welcomed a beautiful baby girl on Saturday morning 11/28/2020 at Kapiolani. Michelle had a healthy pregnancy and labor. At just 8 hours old baby Riley was rushed to the NICU and Sean and Michelle received the shocking news that their baby girl has a rare and life threatening heart condition - Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return (TAPVR). Doctors informed Michelle and Sean that Riley needed immediate open heart surgery that could only be done on the mainland. Baby Riley was flown out the very next evening on a private medical jet with her daddy, Sean, on board as well as an expert team of medical professionals.
Riley had open heart surgery on Tuesday morning at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego and is recovering. Michelle was discharged from Kapiolani and was able to fly out from Hawaii to San Diego on Wednesday to be reunited with baby Riley and Sean. Michelle and Sean are staying at the Ronald McDonald house and if all goes well they will be in San Diego for about a month while Riley recovers.
They are so thankful for all your love, prayers, and support during this time.
