Riley Kennedy liver and intestine transplant

Update : Riley is now waiting for a liver and inteston transplant in Stanford california. We got a call yesterday saying she is back on the transplant list  again. She had been on pause for two weeks because of certain medical issue that came up. She now needs intestine transplant on top of liver. It's is very hard to get a match for instestine and a healthy one so we are now waiting again and possibly way longer then expected. It has been since October 16th 2020 that we have not been home. The recovery for liver instestine transplant is way longer then just a liver. There is no time frame of getting the transplant but recovery after can be up to 6 months. She is doing well. Riley will be getting her second octreotide injection. it goes in the bum and it is very painfully, it's a thick medication. And cold. This is the medication that is keeping her from bleeding internally but it is a short term fix for her to be out of hospital  for little bit. Riley has blood work 2-3 time a week and doctor visits twice a week. She also in those visits had pic line and cap changed to her pic line. It has been a long road for us and the family. We are starting to get home sick as it is getting close to 3 1/2 months.  Riley has a long road ahead of her. She has some of the best doctor's! They are always checking  in on her and doing whatever they can to make this liver last a long as they can. We are staying as possible as we can and trying to stay busy if we can.
