Hi everyone, my name is Liv and this fundraiser is for my boy Riley. Those of you who have met Riley know just how loving and cuddly he is - he is my absolute world! I have always said I would do anything for him as he has helped me through such hard times, and reaching out online through GoFundMe is part of that.

He is currently hospitalised under 24/7 veterinary care.

Sadly on Friday 11th July my boy was brutally attacked by another bigger boy cat in our garden, and suffered multiple trauma to his back, head, face and paws.

On top of these symptoms, he has also had an extreme stress response which seems to have caused a blockage in his urinary tract which has now become a life threatening issue, and is the vet’s main concern at this moment in time. We had him treated by a vet for these things straightaway on Friday, but by Saturday night he was struggling to breathe, meowing/crying and unable to use his litter tray.

We took him to the 24 hour emergency vet, who told us he is suffering from a urinary obstruction. He has had two catheterisations under surgery/general anaesthetic, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Blood Tests, Heart Testing and Intravenous fluid and drugs in the past week. He may now need major bladder surgery to remove any larger stones to clear the obstruction and potentially reroute his urine through a different path (Perineal Urethrostomy). We have already spent nearly £5000 of our own money and we’re trying to scrape together as much as we possibly can for this next phase, but we really need some help.

Please, anything you can help with towards Riley’s vet bills would make the world of difference to us and Riley. I’m so sorry to ask but we’re really running out of options at this point. I also fully understand that everyone is struggling financially at the minute, so even just sharing this page with your friends would be really amazing and so much appreciated.
