Riley and Arica

Riley is an 11 year old who loves horses, country music, and above all else, his family. On Monday, May 22, Riley suffered a seizure in class, and we soon found out it was because he had a massive tumor in his brain. He was MedFlighted to Florida to be taken care of by the top pediatric oncologist/surgeon. On Wednesday, May 24, Riley underwent a 10 hour surgery where the tumor was removed. The surgeon (and team) are very happy with the results, but Riley still has a long fight ahead of him.

He will remain in Florida for an undetermined amount of time due to all of the physical, occupational, and speech therapy he has to do AFTER his radiation and chemo treatments.

His mother, Arica, currently resides in Oklahoma, but will (obviously) be staying with Riley in Florida. She will need to find temporary lodging, on top of daily essentials, and gas to get back and forth from Oklahoma and Florida as necessary.

Arica is my best friend, my sister, my soul mate, and she is facing the scariest thing a parent can face. Anything to ease that burden for her will be a blessing.
