On the 28th of December I will run an Ultra Marathon around Shrewsbury for my friend’s daughter Esperanza.

Juanda is a friend who used to live in Shrewsbury many years ago and was my personal trainer during my restaurant years, he eventually inspired me into becoming a PT and change my life.

After losing his wife to cancer he moved back home to Chile with his two little girls.

One of the girls, Esperanza is now 19 and has been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition called Chiari Syndrome, she is crowdfunding to raise money so she can have her second brain surgery that would alleviate her symptoms and improve her quality of life.

She has now raised the funds for the operation but the aftercare, hospital fees , MRI scans, physio and kinesiology are very costly in Chile so I would love to help her raise more money by running a 50km Ultra with only eight weeks training!
