Ricardo has late stage lung cancer! Please help!

Hola all. This is Barry and Connie from Villas Rana Verde asking our wonderful and caring community to help save our beloved "Coffee on the Corner" Ricardo, has been diagnosed with late stage lung cancer. We are flying him to a cuttting edge alternative medical facility, https://www.immunitytherapycenter.com,

in TJ where he will be an in-patient until they can stabilize him enough to advance his recuperation to the next step of out-patient resident therapy. This is all very expensive. But this an exceptional person and family man who I have been fortunate to call my "amigo mio" for 15 years. I implore all those locals, both Nortes and Sayulos, to pitch in to save the life of this extraordinary human. Who in town does not love Riki? I, for one, am not ready to say goodbye to him! Update: Ricardo arrived yesterday (5/12/23) at the Immunity Therapy Center https://www.immunitytherapycenter.com in Tijuana at their in-patient facility under the care of Dr. Carlos Bautista for a minimum one-week stay, where he will be transferred to their outpatient care apartment. Hearing the change in his voice from yesterday of no hope to today in a cutting-edge cancer research/institute/hospital was profoundly moving for both of us. So many thanks to all of you who made this possible!

Update 5/19/23: Ricardo has made a miraculous turn over the last week of extensive treatments (https://www.immunitytherapycenter.com) and is ready to be transferred to outpatient housing in the next couple of days. He is still in some pain and management of that is one issue. He has stage 3 plural lung cancer which has unfortunately spread to his rib cage. For that reason, he is being prescribed 5 mini radiations in addition to all the other therapies. The good news: 1. he does not have small cell cancer, which is very aggressive and a problem to treat 2. His Dr, whom I trust after a long candid conversation, says that he thinks that within 3 weeks of outpatient, Ricardo can return home with supplements and other therapies to completely recover 3. Ricardo and Alejandra are feeling 100 % positive and understand that Riki can live.....obviously, they are ecstatic!

Of course, the bills keep mounting.... anyone who can help will know this money is helping save a precious life. Thanks for your love!

Update 5/19/23: When I said goodbye to Ricardo and Ale 7 days ago, lying in bed, he looked like a pile of clothes someone had discarded on the floor. Look at him after 1-week treatment at https://www.immunitytherapycenter.com! He sounds as good as he looks. He still has pain management issues, but the treatments have turned things around 100%. Thanks to all that have helped....it is amazing to see good deeds make a difference! Our happy amigo says thanks!

Update: 5/22/23: If someone had told me that this was possible after only 10 days of treatment, I would have thought... impossible. Just look at him today!

Update 5/29/23:After 3 radiation therapies, Ricardo is doing remarkably well. He and Ale are thrilled with the beautiful apartment https://www.immunitytherapycenter.com has provided for them. Ricardo will be here for another 12 nights and then if all goes well, they will be back home in Sayulita. Thanks again to all who have supported him with thoughts, prayers and donations!

Update: 6/13/23: Ricardo flew home from https://www.immunitytherapycenter.com on 6/10/23. He has gained a little weight since he was hospitalized and is feeling hopeful and thankful and looking so much better. On Sunday morning he visited Coffee on the Corner to the welcome from his family and friends. He has been there from around 8:30 for a couple of hours this week. Please stop by for a cuppa and give him your wishes. He has 3 months of medicines that the hospital gave him to continue his home program and then they will access his condition. But the change already is tremendous and the doctors feel confident in a positive prognosis! Thanks again Sayuilta for all the wonderful support!

Update: 6/29/23: This is staggering! When I saw the video below I immediately broke into tears! Ricardo, Alejandra, family and friends are so happy with the amazing progress that Ricardo has made. If you look at the photo (below) taken of him on the way to https://www.immunitytherapycenter.com (5/12/23), he was so sick he could not sit up in the Suburban. To see him now happy, joking, playing air guitar yesterday floored me! Thank you https://www.immunitytherapycenter.com, thank you Sayulita! Please stop by Coffee on the Corner and say hi over a cup or meal. He is there with his infectious smile and positive attitude as proof miracles do happen!
