Richard III goes to New York!
Hello you beauties. My name is Emily Carding and I play Richard III in Brite Theater's award-winning Richard III (A One Woman Show) , a one-hour audience participation adaptation of Shakespeare's masterpiece.
Myself and director Kolbrun Bjort Sigfusdottir have been touring with the show for over a year now, all completely self-funded. It's been incredibly well recieved, winning awards and great reviews. Our most recent review from The Stage called it a 'dazzling performance'...but now we need your help! (Please)
We have been accepted to perform at NYC Fringe in August, (which will be our US premiere) and we could use a hand raising the funds as soon as possible for flights, insurance, visa applications, venue...but in return there will be goodies. Oh yes. T-shirts, posters...even your own sheet of official 'dead' stickers (if you've seen the show you'll understand). We'll even bring the show to you, wherever you are!
So please help if you can. Every little bit helps us on our way and gives you a warm fuzzy from being an awesome patron of the arts.
