Riihl Family Fire Relief Fund

Saturday, April 8th, the unthinkable happened while the Riihl family was out enjoying a family dinner. As they came around the corner to their street, they realized emergency crews were in front of their home. They soon learned that a fire started inside and spread throughout their house. Although the home is still standing, they have suffered a huge loss.

The family's 2 dogs, Lola and Milo, were home during the fire and unfortunately did not survive.

Joe, an avid car enthusiast and talented entrepreneur, runs his business out of their home. He has suffered a total loss of business supplies, materials, and equipment. If you know anything about Joey, he works day and night to help provide for his family while also utilizing his talents and creativity to help others' ideas and customizations come to life. Due to the total loss of the business assets, the income provided by Crazy Joe's Wraps is halted. There is no doubt Joe will rebuild and continue his work, but this will take time, money, and emotional support from his family, friends, and customers.

Xuan-Hien is a second-grade teacher in Rockford. She has devoted her 15+ year career to her students and their futures. Now is a chance for her family, friends, and school community to show our support for her and her family.

The two youngest of the family, Lucas, 10, and Logan, 8, are processing things as can be expected. On top of losing their family pets, both of their bedrooms were affected by the fire and smoke. Most of their belongings were destroyed and all of their clothes are gone.

The Riihl family will have to rent a place to stay while their home is undergoing repair. They are in need of our support in many ways. They are suffering emotionally and financially. Becoming a single-income family overnight is going to prove difficult for them. Rebuilding the house and business, purchasing clothing and other necessities, and finding and maintaining a new, but temporary home is not going to be easy. But WE can help.

Although insurance will help with some of the cost, we all know how long this can take, and the fine print that can leave many things not covered.
