On September 22nd Rihanna received surgery in Thompson to remove her gallbladder. Due to some horrible complications Rihanna is still in hospital fighting.
After her first surgery she still struggled with excruciating pain. She found out during a 2nd surgery that the pain was in results of the 1st surgery, she then needed a 3rd surgery. After her 3rd surgery she had a fever and developed severe Pnemonia so she was tested for Covid 19. Her Mom had to close her home daycare immediately for a week and self isolate while caring for Rihanna until her Covid 19 results came back negative.
After the 3 surgeries poor Rihanna was medi-vac to Winnipeg where she has been awaiting a 4th surgery. She has many tubes coming from her body and is very scared and stressed. Her father has spent everyday with her and has also been away from work.
On the night of October 23 Rihanna received a new roommate, a woman who was transferred from another hospital. She was coughing and vomiting in the bed next to Rihanna and after 3 days the nurse informed Rihanna and her family that the woman had tested positive for Covid 19. Somehow the nurses had not even known she had been awaiting results and put a symptomatic patient into a hospital room with a patient awaiting lung surgery!
Rihanna is now not allowed to have visitors at all for 14 days (not when the results come back but 14 days NO MATTER WHAT THE RESULTS ARE). She is in isolation after being in a hospital bed for weeks. She is forced to be alone, with not even her father allowed to see her for 14 days because of this horrible mistake.
Rihanna is a kind, beautiful young lady with a beautiful future ahead of her. Her mother is a friend and my daughter attends her daycare. She is like a second mother to our daughter, and Rihanna is like an Aunt. Rihanna is very close with all the kids at daycare and they miss her dearly
Rihanna has rent, car payments, phone bills etc to pay. She has MORE THAN ENOUGH stress in her life right now and I am hoping we can all pitch in to help her and her family during this difficult stressful time.
Please donate what you can and spread the word on what is going on. This could easily have been any of our daughters, friends, aunts, sisters.
