Rigoberto Naranjo Lahaina Fire Relief

Donation protected
My name is Danielle from Lahaina, HI and I am fundraising for my amazing boyfriend Rigo and his family.

For those of you who know Rigo, you know that he is one of the most kind and generous souls out there. He is a dedicated father, an executive chef, and I have never seen someone work as hard as he does. As most of us know on Tuesday 8/8/23, a terrible fire devastated all of Lahaina Town, including his apartment. Rigo's son, Junior, and his rescue cat, Nairobi, were able to narrowly flee the flames that engulfed his apartment and surrounding areas. He, his son, and cat are all safe but they have literally lost everything. His cash savings, beloved memorabilia, all of his and his son's clothes, - everything - was burned. His truck was damaged as well. He tried to help some neighbors escape while he could. Some of them perished in the fire and others were able to flee to the ocean. He also gave some houseless folks a ride in the back of his truck to escape the fire. I know that we all know many people affected by this devastating fire, but anything would help. Rigo loved Lahaina with all of his soul and it was his home. We used to walk down Front St. and he knew everyone. He is so open hearted and kind that he even was friends with the houseless community of Lahaina. I always ask him, "How do you know so many people?!" and his response is always, "Babe, I say hi to everyone!".

Rigo is the type of person who will not ask for help. Instead he will get 3 jobs like the hard worker he is. Unfortunately, most of our jobs and homes have been destroyed so he, his son, and cat have no where to live. His son just moved here to live with him and attend Lahainaluna High School. However, I'm not sure if it is still standing. All of the funds donated will be used to help buy new clothes, belongings, school supplies, food, and a new start.

Anything and everything is appreciated and thank you all so much.
