My name is Amy Scheide and I am reaching out to request funds to right a wrong done to a good family friend, Gavin Giese.  This week Gavin's family home was broken into and the thief stole the savings he was using for a school trip to France leaving the family feeling violated and saddened that someone could inflict this sadness on another.  
In the years I have known Gavin he has been a great friend and a generous spirit.  He donates his time to many of the fundraising efforts I have been a part of and I have never witnessed him ask for a single thing.  I have, however. watched him work hard for this trip and save every penny, never asking his friends or family for help.  He is generous of spirit and kind without a fault and I hope we can come together to show him that his hard work cannot be taken by a someone so desperate they would steal.  
While the family has exhausted every investigative and legal avenue to ensure the money's return it is doubtful they will see this money again.  
Gavin is determined to continue his studies to ensure he is able to participate in this once in a lifetime experience.   Can we as a community of friends allow him to focus on this while we replace the money and right this wrong?  Lets show Gavin and his family that there is good in this world!  Please give what you can and send positive thoughts the family's way.
