I'm a Turkish immigrant, a retired Army combat veteran, and a full-time student about to graduate. I've spent the last few years doing everything I could to build a stable life for my kids, like buying a home, finishing my master's degree, and continuing school to create a better future for us.

But lately, everything has hit at once. I got $5,000 stolen from me by a shady business person. My car was totaled. The replacement broke down. And just days ago, I lost my cat after a sudden emergency and I spent over $2,300 trying to save him, and still had to say goodbye. It's been heartbreaking.

At the same time, I've been dealing with a court battle with my abusive ex. For the past 5 years, I haven't received any financial support, and instead, he has been a financial burden and has actively tried to destabilize my life and make things harder.

As an immigrant without family nearby, I've been going through all of this mostly on my own. I've been working so hard to stay strong, but this has set me back more than I can manage right now.
