Adley Grace Riggins ♡ born April 13, 4:09 p.m. weighing 7 lbs 4 oz and 21 inches long!
For those that don't know, Dustin and Lydia found out last Friday (April 8) that Adley had duodenal atresia with the possibility of downs syndrome and heart issues. They were sent on to Women's Hospital in Omaha. Lydia was induced on Monday (April 11) and spent two days trying to bring this little girl into the world. After failed attempt to deliver, she was born via c-section on Wednesday (April 13) . Adley was transferred to the Children's hospital in Omaha where she received her surgery for the duodenal atresia. She is doing well but has a long recovery ahead of her. The doctors have done her heart tests, but they have not received results yet. Her down syndrome tests came back negative!
As of right now, the recovery time is looking like 2-4 weeks. Adley will be spending that time in the Children's Hospital. Lydia and Dustin can use support from family and friends during this time as we all know how much costs can add up. This money right now would go towards food, travel expenses, and other miscellaneous expenses that come up. They will not know for sure what their big expenses will be until everything goes through insurance.
Please help support Dustin, Lydia, and Adley in any way that you can. If you are unable to support them financially at this time, I know they would appreciate prayers, phone calls, and other means of support.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
