These last few years for my family have been filled with hardship, heartbreak, and absolute uncertainty. Through it all, we have tried to remain positive and hopeful and wait for the light at the end of the tunnel. However, as many in my personal life know, 7 weeks ago my father was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, seeing the ER has been something my family has had to deal with a lot over the last few years. This, however, is the first time my father will not be coming home for the foreseeable future. He was transferred to a nursing/rehab facility on January 10th and remains there as of now.

With my father now no longer to help, I have become the full time caregiver for my mom, who has Parkinson's, ontop of working full time and now returning to my college courses. I am burdening more than I can handle. Throughout this entire ordeal, my brother, mom, and I have discovered a lot that my father kept us in the dark from when it came to just how badly he was struggling with his finances. I have now had to try and unweave this endless web of debt with little help from my father as he is just now starting to bounce back cognitively and it has been 7 weeks of struggling to find answers and talk to companies. Due to this, I have had to burden the majority of figuring everything out and trying to make ends meet where I can. My Aunt and Uncle have been truly a blessing throughout all of this and have been helping more than I could ever have asked for but it has now begun to get to the point where I am here now admitting I need help. We need help.

This is not easy for me or my family to do. Even as I type this I feel...horrible and broken but it's reached a point where the debt is so intense, that the little money dad gets in social security and pension is not enough to pay off the debt and start fresh, the hole each month is dug deeper and deeper and I simply cannot make ends meet. I have done everything I can financially but, at this point, I have little to nothing to my name despite working full time. It has gotten to a point where I cannot even afford my own bills let alone there's. These last few years have not been kind to my family and we are trying to hold on the best we can.
