Rigel’s recovery

On Sunday September 6th 2020 Rigel got into a horrible motorbike accident. He suffered head trauma from the incident. The right side of his brain received a brain bleed called a subarachnoid hemorrhage, and the impact of his fall was so hard that it caused his skull to fracture on the left side of his head. He was brought to Northern Dutchess hospital, once there he was paramedic to Vassar and stayed in the ICU where he was monitored for 24 hours. His mother and I were so afraid to leave we slept in the parking lot. This past week has honestly been a blur, time feels like it has slowed and yet days have flown by, The doctors explained and made it very clear how lucky Rigel is to be alive.Our lives have been turned upside down. We are so fortunate that Rigel is okay, He has a long way to go, but he is now home and healing. He is expected to make full recovery, but we were told the fracture would take at least six months to heal. As long I have known Rigel he is the last to ask for help, yet the quickest to lend a hand, I'm asking , any amount no matter how small will help with the costs of him being out of work for the six months to heal. His part of Rent, food, bills,and the hospital stay. He is so important to everyone in his life, and we all love him so much. We gravitate toward him and he brings people together without knowing the impact he has on all of us. He is my person in every aspect and I want nothing more than to do the best I can, and that's why I'm creating this Go-Fund Me. I need to create an atmosphere for him where he doesn't have to worry about anything other than healing and getting back on his feet.
