UPDATE❤️‍

With heavy hearts we wanted to let you all know that our sweet girl Rigby fought a good fight but has succumbed to her injuries. She fought for 31 days and we were seeing positive healing and results from her daily hydrotherapy and in clinic laser therapy 3x/ week. Unfortunately, on July 23, 2025 she had to be rushed to the animal emergency clinic because she took a drastic turn for the worst.  Her breathing became extremely hard. The snake venom toxins were too much for her heart.

She brought so much joy, love & protection for 12 years.

We miss her greatly.

Our home is so empty without her.

Dear family, friends and kind-hearted strangers,

 We are reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help in saving our beloved 11-year-old German Shepherd, Rigby. She’s more than a pet—she’s family, a loyal protector, and a source of unconditional love for our family.

 Two days ago, tragedy struck in our backyard. Rigby was bitten by a venomous snake. We rushed her to the vet, where she’s been fighting for her life. So far, she’s received two doses of anti-venom, but her platelet count remains dangerously low, requiring ongoing intensive care, bloodwork, the veterinary bills are mounting quickly, and we’re facing extensive costs for Rigby’s recover. She currently has been receiving MLK drip , (infusion, morphine lidocaine ketamine), laser therapy to her eye and face to help reduce swelling , hyperbaric oxygen chamber ( help increase healthy tissue reduce swelling) she has received several blood tests as well .

 The vet bills are estimated at $5,000–$10,000 and they’re growing with each day Rigby fights to recover.

As a veteran family, we’ve always worked hard to make ends meet, but this unexpected crisis has stretched us beyond our means. My husband is the main provider for our family. I am homemaker as well as we homeschool our son. We’re humbly asking for your support to help with Rigby’s medical expenses and give her the chance to come home to us.
