Rifa Solidária para a Babi

Our dearest friend, well beloved throughout Dublin, Barbara Damasceno - a Doula and positive sexuality educator - has suffered an accident on February 14th while she was cycling to work. Bárbara was struck by a truck that drove over her leg. After 6 surgical attempts to try to reconstruct her foot and calf, we received the sad news that her body was rejecting the treatment and, unfortunately, her foot had to be amputated. This whole situation was a shock not only for our friend but also for her partner, friends and family. With the help of some people, we managed receive a donated wheelchair and we are currently engaged with a solicitor who will begin legal proceedings. Barbara's parents are on their way to Dublin to provide much-needed emotional support and to help with Barbara's rehab as soon she is able to return home. As we all know, the cost to travel as well as accommodation here in Dublin is pretty high. Barbara's partner has temporarily been unable to work in order to remain by her side for comfort and support. That being said, as Barbara's family and friends here in Dublin, we decided to organize this gofund me to help her financially during this very new process of her life.

Nossa querida amiga e conhecida de muitos aqui em Dublin, Barbara Damasceno - Doula, Educadora em sexualidade positiva e pessoa iluminada - sofreu um acidente dia 14 de Fevereiro enquanto pedalava para seu trabalho. Bárbara foi atropelada por um caminhão. No acidente, o caminhão passou por cima da perna dela.

Após 6 cirurgias para reconstruir seu pé e canela, tivemos a triste notícia da rejeição dos procedimentos e da necessidade de amputação do pé.

Toda essa notícia e situação foi um baque não somente para nossa amiga mas também para seu parceiro, amigos e sua família.

Com a ajuda de algumas pessoas conseguimos a doação de uma cadeira de rodas e o contato para o advogado que iniciará o processo judicial. Agora os pais estão a caminho para dar um suporte emocional e ajudar na reabilitação assim que ela puder voltar para casa.

Como todos sabemos os gastos para trazer familia e mantê-los aqui são altos. Também houve um período em que o marido não pode trabalhar para acompanhar e dar suporte a ela. Então como família e amigos dela aqui em Dublin resolvemos organizar esse Gofund me para ajudar a levantar fundos nesse processo tão difícil.
