Ridlon family needs help

On behalf of the Boston Police Relief Association we support Abby and the Ridlon family. We never forget our brothers and sisters in blue.

My name is Abigail M. Ridlon. I am the youngest daughter of the late John L. Ridlon Jr. My father was a Boston Police Officer for many years, becoming a member of several units such as the K-9, motorcycle, as well as the S.W.A.T. team. Every one which he loved, but he sadly took his own life in 2009. Ever since then, the BPD has become like family. The blue blood runs deep, and our family is forever thankful for the shoulder you have become to lean on. The comradery, bravery, and compassion you showed us 12 years ago I remember every single day, and it is evident in the work that you do.

I am humbly asking for your assistance. I have recently received my acceptance into my dream college, Curry College, to pursue my dream of working in the healthcare field. I received a scholarship but it unfortunately only pays for a small amount of tuition. I currently take 4 AP classes, and have been working 2 jobs along with playing volleyball for Plymouth South High School. I have worked very hard to pay my own way, picking up extra shifts to pay for my prom dress, volleyball clinic, my yearbook, etc. We unfortunately recently lost our home in Plymouth, MA and had to move, as it was no longer affordable for our mother to maintain. She has worked to provide all 4 of us with everything we need, but college is a bit of a financial stretch for one parent, and for the youngest. 

I have worked very hard to be where I am today . I am thankful for everything you have done, and from the bottom of my heart my family and I will always back the blue.
