RIDING FOR RESEARCH

CHARLES LASKEY (CHUCK) 1942-2016

NANCY LOTTER 1944 - 2017

We are college friends of close to 30 years who each lost a parent to cancer and related complications in the last 2 years. In their memory and to raise money for cancer awareness we’re attempting a 335-mile bicycle ride from downtown Pittsburgh, PA to downtown Washington, D.C. From the money we raise here, we will make a donation to cancer research in their names.
We will be using the Greater Allegheny Passage (GAP) trail starting at Point State Park, Pittsburgh, then switch to the C&O Canal trail in Cumberland, MD until its end in Georgetown, D.C. We will average about 80 miles a day—give or take—based on sleep locations, endurance and sheer luck.
The ride starts July 5, 2018.
